Hey, I’m Ellie!
Ellie Black is a four-time Olympian and the most decorated female gymnast in Canadian history. At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, she made headlines for placing 6th in the All-Around Final and helping Canada to a 5th place team finish — but it was her sportsmanship that stole the spotlight. Ellie was awarded the 2024 Olympic Fair Play Award and Canada’s True Sport Award for her leadership and respect on the world stage.
She’s a two-time World Silver Medalist — on beam (2022) and all-around (2017) — and played a key role in Canada’s first-ever team medal at Worlds. In 2022, she debuted a new skill on the uneven bars, now officially named “the Black.”
A proud Nova Scotian and recipient of the Order of Nova Scotia, Ellie continues to push boundaries, champion women in sport, and inspire the next generation.
